Rob Steel's approach to photography is certainly unique. Quirky still lives and acted scenes combine to reveal a very personal and, sometimes, darkly comic view of the world.

Much of his work is produced in his flat in Hackney, and is often inspired by things he stumbles across in charity shops or Brick Lane market.

The photographs exist as individual pieces, but become part of a wider "conversation'" when seen as part of a series. Perhaps unsurprisingly, his approach has led to several high profile advertising campaigns...
