Barry Cawston has been working as a freelance photographer for ten years. During this time he has received several awards including the BJP/Nikon Endframe Dream Project Award in 2004, the Exeter Contemporary Open Art Award 2006 and the Black Swan Open Art Award in January of this year. His photograph, Books ,Napoli was also the Presidents Choice Award at the RWA Open in June

He has also exhibited widely including a solo show of his 'Happy/Sad Portraits' on Gloucester Rd tube stations', 'Platform for Art' in 2001.


Shooting mainly on a large format camera, his photographs have a fine print quality which coupled with an eye for detail, helps produce striking and engaging images that often have a sociological and analytical aspect.
